Public Benefit Company
CAVU. Alabama's First Public Benefit Company.

CAVU is proud to be Alabama’s First Public Benefit Corporation under Title 10A of the Code of Alabama. At its core, this means that CAVU is legally held accountable to fulfilling a public benefit and considering it in any decision we make.

Our public benefit

CAVU has been formed for the following Educational & Economic Benefit:

The Corporation shall pursue public benefits having positive
effects, or the reduction of negative effects of an education and/or economic nature on persons who:

  1. lack secondary education
  2. earn low to moderate incomes, and/or
  3. as a class, have been historically underrepresented in corporate positions

by providing accessible educational opportunities to such persons.

What this means for you

CAVU is committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and communities. This means that we are not only focused on delivering top-quality education but also on ensuring that these opportunities reach those who need them most.

Our mission is to provide accessible and effective learning programs to individuals who may lack secondary education, earn low to moderate incomes, or have been historically underrepresented in corporate positions. By prioritizing these groups, we aim to bridge the gap and create a more inclusive and equitable workforce.

For you, this translates into a unique opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge that can significantly enhance your career prospects. Whether you are looking to enter the tech industry, advance in your current role, or pivot to a new field, CAVU offers the resources and support to help you succeed. Our programs are designed to be accessible, ensuring that financial constraints or educational background do not hinder your progress.

B-Corp Certified

Being B-Corp Certified is a testament to our unwavering commitment to social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Unlike a Public Benefit Corporation, which is a legal status, B-Corp Certification is a rigorous certification process conducted by B-Lab, a third-party organization.

This certification means that CAVU has met the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. It proves our dedication to not just talking about making a difference, but actively demonstrating it. By undergoing the B-Corp Certification process, we hold ourselves publicly accountable for our impact, ensuring that we consistently pursue our mission of providing educational and economic benefits to underserved communities.

For our learners and partners, this means you can trust that CAVU is genuinely committed to creating positive change and operating with integrity, responsibility, and a strong sense of purpose.
