The Learning Backlog tool is compatible with task management tools like Trello, ClickUp, or any similar platforms you may prefer. It allows you to visualize your course progression and manage your learning more efficiently. Here’s how you can set up and use your Learning Backlog:
Setting Up Your Learning Backlog
- Create a new board in your chosen task management tool – Label this board ‘CAVU Agile Accelerator Learning Backlog’ or something similar that you’ll easily recognize.
- Set up categories – These could be ‘To Do’, ‘In Progress’, and ‘Done’. You may also want to include a ‘Resources’ category for useful links and notes.
- Create tasks – Based on the syllabus of the CAVU Agile Accelerator, create a task for each module or key learning point in the course. You might want to include a brief description and expected outcomes for each task.
Using Your Learning Backlog
- Plan your study schedule – Depending on your availability and learning pace, assign target completion dates to each task.
- Move tasks across categories – As you begin a module, move its associated task to ‘In Progress’. Once you’ve finished the module, move the task to ‘Done’. This will give you a visual representation of your progress.
- Add notes and resources – Whenever you come across useful resources or notes, add them to the relevant task. This can be links to additional readings, key takeaways from coaching sessions, or insights from on-demand learning materials.
- Regularly review your progress – This will help you identify if you’re on track and make necessary adjustments if you’re falling behind.
